Verify fitted equipment before using height advice
Air suspension is not a brand-wide feature. In the official China snapshot retrieved on 25 October 2026, 001 95 kWh AWD Max and 103 kWh RWD Max show no standard dual-chamber air suspension, while 103 kWh AWD Ultra and Ultra+ show it as standard. This describes those listed versions, not every past or future 001. Check the order specification and actual vehicle before following height-control advice.
- Record the complete version and any factory suspension option.
- Do not treat an adaptive-damper setting as proof that the car can change ride height.
Understand the other model distinctions
The same China reference lists the air-suspension package as optional for the two RWD Max versions of 7X, 007 and 007GT, and standard for their AWD Ultra versions. Listed 009, 8X and 9X variants show air suspension as standard. X and MIX list other suspension layouts; this reference does not establish an adjustable air system for them. Symbols in a configuration table must be read with the option legend.
- Confirm that an optional package was actually ordered, not merely available in the brochure.
- For an overseas version, use its own specification rather than importing these Chinese trim descriptions.
Use height modes within their documented limits
If the car has height adjustment, learn its available modes and operating restrictions from the matching manual while parked. A raised position does not guarantee permanent clearance: load, speed, selected mode and automatic behaviour can matter. Do not publish or rely on an unverified “maximum clearance” figure from another model year. Keep people and obstacles clear of the body whenever a height change is requested.
- Confirm the current indicated mode before entering a steep driveway.
- Allow for breakover angle and bumper overhang, not only clearance under the middle of the vehicle.
Plan for damaged roads and heavy loads
Slow down before potholes and abrupt surface changes, assess the route and avoid situations that could strike the battery underside. Air suspension and AWD do not turn a road vehicle into a water-crossing vehicle. Larger wheels with shorter sidewalls can change impact tolerance and comfort; confirm the approved tyre and loading specification instead of assuming all wheel packages behave alike.
- Check the intended path on foot when safe if a ramp or obstacle is uncertain.
- Do not exceed the vehicle’s load limits because the suspension appears level.
Before a tyre shop lifts the vehicle
Tell the workshop whether the actual car has air suspension and supply the correct lifting instructions. Any specified lifting or jack mode must be set and verified by the documented procedure; menu location and required steps are not shared across all models. Lifting points and supporting equipment must suit the exact vehicle. Never work underneath a car supported only by a jack or its air suspension.
- Ask the technician to confirm lifting preparation before raising the car.
- After work, verify the normal suspension state and inspect warnings before driving away.
When height or ride quality seems wrong
An uneven stance, repeated compressor activity, a warning or a new harsh ride needs a recorded inspection rather than repeated height cycling. Photograph the parked vehicle on level ground, noting load, mode, temperature and whether the symptom changes after standing. These observations do not diagnose a leaking air spring by themselves. If the car sits abnormally low or risks tyre/body contact, request assistance before continuing.
- Record when the problem started and any recent wheel work or impact.
- Keep clear of a moving suspension and do not inspect beneath the vehicle without proper support.
